Idle relearn process- 02' spec-v

Anyone know the idle relearn process for 02' spec-v. I am experiencing problems with the idle being to high - code P0507. I have found other forums here with the exact same problem described, though I am unable to open the link for the idle relearn process which seems to be the solution. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

I replied to your PM with the process.
Timing is important
It may take you a couple of tries to get the timing down

You're right, it took a few times to get the timing down but we got it and she runs like a champ again. Many thanks, you da man!

I recently took my 2002 Altima in for an oil change and they sold me on doing an intake cleaning, using one of those cans. They showed it to me and it did look dirty. I drove home, 2 blocks away, and didn't notice any problems. An hour or so later I used the car again and the check engine light came on, and I noticed the RPM needle move quickly. I bought it back and it was a P0507 code, the service tech said something probably just had to be adjusted.

I think my Altima could also use a general overall tune-up, something I haven't done since I bought it new (57k miles on it) - does anyone recommend a place to have this done in the NYC area?

You replied to Ceferino about how to relearn the throttle after cleaning the throttle body. Could you send me the process or point me in the right direction?
Thanks!
Dave

Take it back to them. They just messed up your idle. The trottle body's on newer nissan's such as the drive by wire system, are disposible. They automatically adjust for gunk build up and you HAVE to relearn it after words. If your lucky it'll work.

About the only thing too look at it trans fluid condition and cooalant condition.

go to this video at youtube. also, do a search for the DTC's and you will come up with some documents on how to do it, that's what I did.
If this youtube link doesn't work, do a search on youtube for "nissan throttle body" and click on the one with P0507 and P0509 ( the DTC's ) in the title.
