I have used CRC MAf cleaner and CRC TB cleaner w/o any issues whatsoever. I also know of many that have used both w/o issues.

in my opinion the risk/benefit of MAF or TB cleaner is skewed enough for me to recommend not using it. I have seen many cars with 150+K miles on them without ever having cleaned their MAF and ive seen no compelling argument for cleaning a MAF except K&N style filters. any oil over gauze filter contaminates the intake air with atomized oil which burns onto the hotwire inside the maf and can clog the small vacuum ports cast inside the TB. spraying any cleaner into the MAF can damage the small filament, simply from the pressure of the stream. of course most people ive seen wont ever do this damage because they simply open the airbox and spray the cleaner through the screen on the end of the MAF, which does nothing what so ever since the sensor elements are shielded inside by the metered port! im really not trying to ruin the CRC products business here, but as a service to the nissan community i am sharing another side of the story, that cleaning a MAF or throttle-by-wire TB with pressurized cleaner can damage things that cost hundreds of dollars, and provides little to no appreciable benefit.

I actually agree w/ you. You're describing issues when the cleaner is sprayed directly on the TB. My first post in this thread include a suggestion to NOT spray directly on the TB, but to spray on a rag instead. The OP's end result was a positive one.
