Cool Stillen Piggyback ECU

Was reading a thread here about Stillen mods for the Spec-V. Someone asked if anybody owned a Stillen piggyback ECU (the QR-Pro?), and was it was worth the $400? Yup.

I've had mine for a week and have run the car with it on, off and bypassed. I'm impressed. I think Stillen claims 6hp and 7 foot pounds of torque. It feels like a lot more. It's smoooth all the way up to 6,000 and much more aggressive. Oh, and altho "your mileage may vary", I'm getting 2 more mpg with it.

Finally, a tip for old guys like me: Mount the toggle switch closer. Stop lights are already embarrassing enough with that Stillen muffler (whoever designed it must either have had about a 30% hearing loss, or live in a dynamite factory), and bending over is a little tougher than it used to be...

Believe me, it's in your head. Stillen's products for sentras are overpriced and not producing very much.

In my opinion, you're better off getting an SAFC II and having it precisely tuned.

But, if you're happy, so be it.

Yeah, I'd like to see a dyno sheet on it, too. In the end, you're right. All I can really say is that it's better than it was before. I'm happy. Oh, and to the really intense guy who took time out from work to e-mail me at home to flame me, consider getting a girlfriend and spending some time away from your car. There's a whole other world out there...honest. Have a great weekend! pb
