Homemade "Stock" Cold Air Intake

So I took off the silencer on the bottom of the airtake, just leaving the 2 tubes that go down to meet up with it. While wandering around home depot... I fond out that a 2" rubber plumbing connector fit over the end of the tube pointing straight down, when i put 2 90 degree pipes together. (down, then out facing the front opening in bumper). When I put this into the other end of the rubber connector, it took me a while to realize i made a cheap ass cold air intake, well... cold RAM intake... until I get the money for a good one. I didn't glue the pipes or clamp the rubber. Its stayed fine so far, but I think I will seal it soon since I know it works. The best thing is, I notice it, when I'm going faster, It seems I have more torque than before, cause I can feel it more.

do you have any sort of filter on it? if you don't you may want to consider the consequences of dirt getting into your intake system.

its just a "ram-air" tube that goes to the bottom of the intake box. The airfilter I replaced with K&N, the intake is still stock, just a few pieces of plastic to increase flow in place of the silencer
