Another 4-2-1 Or 4-1 Questiion

I am looking into buying a header for my car. I have read extensively throughout the forums and cant decide. I found a DC sports 4-2-1 ceramic header for around $280 plus shipping. But Everyone says the 4-1 header is better for our cars. Why is this? So i am looking at the Stillen 4-1 header with downpipe for $480 plus shipping. I am Definetly getting the stromung cat to go with it. ( it sounds freakin awesome) So what would work best with that exhaust. Thanks.. Oh I have BSR,I,and Some Spankin new Fuzions!

The big deal is where the power gains are added. 4-1 I believe adds more push on the top end, which is needed for the QR25. We don't really need any more low end power, it's easy enough already to peel out.

This is true, really though, it seems like most of the headers for the qr25 are still 4-2-1

Ok So a 4-1 Stillen Any Good?

I want the header and downpipe to come together as a set. Stillen comes this way. Do any others. I have looked at the hotshot, it comes with just the header i believe. Nismo is too expensive. Any other suggestions. I want the best bang for the buck (under $600 for header and downpipe) Thanks

I have heard Stillen has the shittiest customer support to the point where people will not buy from them. The AEBS (no longer made), DC, and some name which I cannot remember all have a mid pipe.

I believe the other header you are thinking of is the relatively new Strup header. Stainless steel 4-2-1 which means more tire burning fun.

That's it. HP Autoworks sells it IIRC although I dont believe any dyno results have been posted yet. However, it looks badass.

Startin to save my pennies for the stromung cat, anyone heard stillens exhaust on the Qr? any sound or video clips would be awesome!

I have Stillen's 4-1. It gets the job done, and has for almost 30k miles. I did have to have the metal gasket replaced about a week after I got it because it was letting out oil bubbles on a cold start. good luck with it.

I have Stillens Cat back, performs well and the sound is nice and deep and throaty. however i am selling it because i drive it everyday and i want to add headers. Im savign for stromungs cat back which is rediculously expensive but its supposed to be the quieter exhaust with an aftermarket header. pm me if you are interested in purchasing my stillen cat back, 300 usd plus shipping, less than 1K mi on it.
