no gas from pedal?

on some occations while driving i will push the gas pedal and nothing will happen. its like the sensor is no longer working. usually if i shut off the car and try it again it will work. anyone have any ideas of what might cause this. im about to do a idle relearn to see if it helps with my idle. any ideas would be great. thanks

You might have a bad throttle positioning sensor.

Had this happen to me to. It was my alternator connection. I guess the battery lost charge on the freeway and, hey what do ya no i have no gas pedal. Kinda obvious if your alternator is goin out ( dim lights, car starter being sluggish...etc... but you never know)
