location of Fuel FIlter on 03 SE-R

Guys,

Where is the fuel filter on the 03 SE-R QR25DE motor? under the hood or near the fuel tank?

Thanks

In the fuel tank. To get to it pop up the bottom piece of the back seat. The fuel filter is NOT a normal maintenance item. Why you asking?

ya and its not really a filter... more like a screen. Filters you would normally change out.

guys, you mean nissan stopped making in-line fuel filters? My frontier had an external fuel filter in-line near the tank, you pop it off and thats it. my 92 has one in the engine compartment. All of the fuel pumps have a strainer on the end of the pickup for all cars, I mean the fuel filter near the engine or somewhere in-line the fuel line.

I will call Greg at Mossy and see if he knows

THanks
Chris

treat it just like your timing chain. if it isn't broke, don't fix it.

On cars that have the fuel filter on the fuel pump in the tank, the best way to check for good fuel flow is to connect a temporary fuel pressure gauge to the inlet of the fuel regulator and measure the pressure at various RPMs; the pressure should remain fairly constant.

As said, it's a fuel strainer located in the tank, not a filter if you come to ask for it in a part store. Even if it's not a common maintenance item.
