4-2-1 or 4-1

Hi all. I have an 03 Sentra SE-R Spec-V. The only mods I have on it so far are a CAI and an exhaust. My next two items up for moding are headers and a shaft balancer removal kit from jim wolf (recomended from a friend).

My main question is about the headers, I am trying to decide on whether to get the 4-2-1 or the 4-1 header for my car. I was led to beleive from my research that the 4-1 headers will provide a little more low-end torque which is what I am looking for. Any suggestions or advise on this?

Also, I was looking at the different brands out there and Nismo is selling theres for almost twice as much as anyone else. Is there any credibility to this price jump, or will I experience the same type of proformance as the DC Sports header? The site I visited for the Nismo boasted around the same amount of power increase, but I believe they quoted a higher torque increase. Fact or Fiction? Any help is appriciated.

The nismo header is a great header, however the price is because of the name. The DC sport header is nice, as well as the Hotshot header.

any of those 3 are a fine selection.

4-2-1 is better for low end
4-1 for top end

This NISMO is a 4-1 because the car has oodles of low and crap for top.

the DC is the best full piece now although the AEBS is by far the cream of the crop. goodluck on finding one. hotshot for the spec v has been disapointing because they generally go further than they have for us (this is prolly because most owners are cheap). if you are on a budget, get the Megan Racing. I ran it for a year and no problem at all.

The Strup header is still fairly new for our car. It is made by the same people that make the DC sports and cost about the same. There is still a little speculation around it, but so far I have heard nothing but good things. Never the less, it is still a fairly new header for our car, so I'm gonna let somebody else be the guinne pig

You are a few weeks too late to be the guinea pig. Someone here has had that header for almost a month. He and I go to the same school. I can ask how its goin for him, or tell him to respond about it here.

DC Header for sure!!!

I have a DC sports Raceing header on my 04 Spec V. The power increase is amazing. Go to the DC Sports web page and check out the dyno readings. They are from my car. They used my car to fabricate it. But to be truthfull any top brand is good. Nismo(though overpriced), Hot Shot, Stillen, all good. Take your pick. I do suggest you get a header that will include the cat. Less hastles later on.
