Question Which CAI?

I'm new to the whole nissan thing. I just sold my 95Z so I don't know any of the codes so I hope this is in the right place. I'm lookin for a CAI and I hear a lot about the Hotshot on here I was wondering what everyone was using and what is better. Thanx in advance.

HotShot myself. The NISMO, K&N and AEM are on the same par with quality. IIRC the AEM and KN both come with a K&N filter. The one with the HotShot is also of good quality.

AEM IS a K&N filter to clear up any doubts.

It just has AEM stamped on the end of it.

Yeah I was thinking about the hotshot one but then my bro who works at the nissan dealership around here is hookin me up with a nismo one for less than all of those. I think he said 220 or something like that...I believe it's a stage II one. Did anyone have any dyno results or anything like that to see what kind of gain i'd be making. On my z28 I got 22 RWHP with a CAI.....I know it's not going to be that much with this but I was just wondering.

you need the gen 2 and cannot run the gen 1 as you have an 05. check out NPM for dyno testing, iirc it was like 5 WHP.

us little 4 bangers dont get as much power like the v8's. but a header will make significant gains. when i put on my hotshot i could feel it instantly in the top end.

Yeah I was gonna juice it yesterday. I had a chance to buy a kit for 660 installed. It was a NX kit but it only has 1200 miles on it and I don't know how I would explain a hole in the piston with melted plugs to the guy. Do you hafta tune it if you put a header on it or can you tune these cars? I'm new to the whole thing so sorry for askin newb questions. If you can tune what program are people using?
