Question SE-R automatic Ecu

I have a problem with my se-r 2002, it doesn’t start but I tried to put a spec-V ecu and it started. The problem is it doesn’t accelerate when the gas pedal is pressed. So I’m looking for an automatic SE-R ecu to try solving this problem. I think the automatic ecu should have some different codes from the manual se-r and that makes the car not to accelerate. Anyways, does any one know why my car won’t accelerate with spec-v computer? And are Computers or ecu different between manual and automatic version of the cars? Please let me know how to find an ecu from automatic se-r.

Yes, the ECUs are different between the auto SE-R and SE-R Spec V. The 02-03 and 04+ ECUs are also different.

Hey! Zac, thank you for the info, but I still need to know something. Could I use an ECU from the Altima with 2.5 engine and automatic transmission?

i havent a clue on that mate. since they make the same power and have the same tranny, it may be yes. the easiest way to know would be to cross check the part #s and if they are the same, then the answer is yes.
