ES Inserts

I guess this is just to vent, but I tried installing the ES MMI in my car yesterday. Those damn rear inserts just woldn't fit at all! Anyone else have this problem? I used wd40 to try and force them, but no luck. They stuck out way to far and just wouldn't seat. One side would always want to pop out. The fronts went in with no problem at all but I was fed up with the waisted 3 hours that I just took them out. Not to mention, my jack under the tranny decided to move slightly on me, making the process of getting everything back together a royal PITA.

I love working on my car, but this is rediculous! And the only thing I have to show for it is sore ass shoulders. Time to get some air tools I guess, I'm getting too old for this...

they fit in perfectly in my 01...........they're not going to stay in that easily...you have to almost hammer them in and the brackets hold them in.
