Hi All,
My QG16DE engine seems to die off at idle after it has warmed up. This happened after I went for a long cruise of 160km/hr for a covered distance of 1000+km. Have brought the car to the local mechanic and he had plug the oil breather tube that is connected to air filter funnel, so now the engine oil gas is dissipated into the atmosphere. His claim is that, my piston rings may have worn, and the excess gases that seeped through has caused the trottle body to cause the constant idle problems. Is this true. So far after doing this, the engine has yet to die at idle, but it still fluctuates to below 500rpm at idle, and then rises again. Pls help.
