Vin #

The VIN # is like the cars ID. But does the engine have it's own VIN or is it even labeled with the same VIN as the car anywhere on the actual motor?

the engine has a VIN # stamped on it, but I am not sure if it's the same as the vehicle VIN# or not, and from what I hear, it's nearly impossible to find the engine VIN without taking the engine out of the car.

In about 9-12 months I am going trade my wifes XE in for another car. I have been putting all traveling miles on my GXE, before the trade I would like to swap engines that is my thought..................opinions.

You cheating...
The engine vin is the same as the car. I would go and take a flash light and mirror to do some poking around to see if you can find the tag. I know on a GA its easy to find, but I have no idea where it would be on a QG. Good luck.
