Exclamation Advantages/Disadvantages (need opinions on this!!)

1. since the GXE comes with 15" wheels, how much would affect acceleration performance when switching from 15 to 17 and tire sizes from 205/50R15 to 215/40R17? (you`ll require this if upgrading to a big front brake setup that`s what i`ve been told!).

2. straight back pipe with rear section but in 1.75" (i may need to upgrade to 2") remember no emision control laws here in good ol panama.

3.NOS octane booster...

4. a way to improve weight distribution from 61/39 to a close 50/50 or somewhere near to achieve better stability.

5. using the LSD from quaife for the SR20DE in our engine.

and finally any ways to convert from rear drum to disc without having to change the entire rear suspension.

Thanx

1) it'll slow you down if you get heavy wheels and tires.

2) leave the cat on there, get 2" mandrel bent with a muffler

3) octane booster is worthless....don't waste your money

4) weight distribution, a good place to start is relocating the battery to the trunk. Summitracing.com makes a kit to do so...also carbon fiber hood, removing some more weight in the front as well, all that helps.

5) can't use the Quaife for the SR20...as it is, without forced induction the QG doesn't need a limited slip device.

no way to go to rear disc without getting a spec v rear axle. also it's not necessary, our drums are quite good.

1. There are lightweight 17"s, but you need to spend a bit. Anything else will really slow you down. Try to find 17"s around or under 15-16 lbs.

2. It should pass emissions fine, but you ought to get a freer-flowing cat... if you're going to modify in the future, you'll need one.

3. same opinion... just buy better gas.

4. chimmike covered everything.

5. quaife? Get a JDM SR20 tranny... there's a guy here running low 14's (down from 15) on a JDM LSD, before that, he just snapped axles.
