P1441 Error Code

My SES light has been on a couple of days so I took it to Autozone to read the code. The code is P1441. The guy says it is something with the emmisions and told me to check the gas cap (which I already did). Anyone have any additional info on this code and what the problem might be?
-Thanks, Bob

if the light first came on right after you filled the tank, it's the gas cap.

unplug the negative terminal on the battery for 10-20 minutes. the ECU will be reset. if the light doesn't come back on, you don't have a problem anymore.

I'll reset it and see if it comes back on. I did that about 3 weeks ago and in about 2 weeks it came back on with the same code. I'll see if it does it again.

Could it be a bad gas cap that is not air tight? -Thanks.

P1441 - a code for the evaporator system. it usually has to due with the purge volume on the evaporator control valve.

Thanks. I assume this would have to be checked at the dealer?
