what about the resonator? because i just got a greedy evo exhaust on my sentra and i can bearly hear it , iam thinking about removing the resonator to make it a little louder , but my question is will it still pass the state inspection?
Quoted form Mike ---disadvantages? yeah, you don't gain anything by removing it.
leave it there.
As Mike has said in this thread there are'nt any real gains from removing your cat so as far as emmisions tests etc go i would most definetly just leave it there it will just cause more hasstle if you decide too remove it and more fuel lol

first of all, youll probably gain no hp while put back on the stock exhaust, but i can attest to this.....Where i live (just outside of the atlanta city limits) emissions arent required yet! Now, when i got mine cut off (under the table at the local shop) i can tell you that you will notice a difference in the tone of the whole drive train! As air is freed up with in the exhause pipe, more air is pushed into the at an easier rate, thus changing the tone. It sounds really cool at wot, but id reccomend not doing it if you have to have emissions inspections! (the changes in tone that i heard may be because my cat was clogged, you might not have the same result. I might have just heard the car as it should be!) but anyway, thats my two pennies
