OBDII codes

Hey is there any way to retrieve the OBDII code and reset me SES light without a scanner? I have a 2000 Sentra GXE.. Thanks so much for the help, all the replies to my other post were awesome

No their isn't, Not a safe way anyhow. The dealer will charge you $100 to read and diagnose the code and erase it. You could own the tool for the same price and do it yourself.

I'm not a salesman, just an end user/driver like yourself, But I'll tell you that you will want to correct the problem when that light does come on because ignoring it will result in much higher costs like plugged up catalytic converters, and some thing like that is not funny in the state of California where this state tends to be stricter or more costly than the other 49 states when it comes down to emmisions.

Autozone, Kragens Pep boy's, Type OBD 2 in a search engine and make sure that you get the reader that will do NISSANS, not that cheap crap that they sell on Flea-Bay, Honestly there are different types.

The one I am most fond of is the Actron 9135 and sells for $99.95
