I have a 2001 1.8 Sentra with about 150000 kilometers and I have recently spend over $450.to have a problem fixed that is still not fixed.This car was bought used and from day one never seemed to shift smooth (it is a 5 speed).I have noticed something lately that it is doing and I feel it is connected to my problem,when the gas peddle is pushed very litely the engine begines to rev up and down.So when I move forward at a very slow speed like moving through a parking lot the car begins to jerk like you popped the clutch but as soon as you press harder on the gas the jerk is gone and it is smooth from then on.Only about the 10 kilometer per hour speed it jerks.
any help you can give as to this problem I would be very grateful.

Yes that is about right 5-8 miles per hour is when it does it.

sounds like a maf malfunction to me. My car used to jerk violently at certain speeds or rpms, i went to junkyard picked up used maf and it stoped.
