hey whats up. my gf just got a 04 sentra 1.8s so naturally the car guy that i am jumped on google to find all the sentra sights possible. anyways most of my knowledge comes from the chrysler,mitsu/dodge engines since that what i have. anyways now that my bried into is out of the way i noticed that there isnt a whole lot of support for the 1.8, most parts just seem to have one source so take it or leave it. and im assuming that all suspension mods to the B15 chassis (2000+) will fit any year/model of the B15 correct?
now my main question is this: is there any interchangability between engines? because for my platform the two main engines 6g73(2.5) and 6g72(3.0) are for the most part interchangeable (intakes, headers, etc...). anyways i was wondering if there was any such interchangability between this QG18 and another engine? the only possblyt i could see would be the GA16DE which seems to be QG18 bored out a bit. but i could be wrong.
and what (if any) are the most popular engine swaps for this car?

Only qg18de parts will work on the qg18de....although an intake for the sr20de b15 model will work if you modify the maf adapter plate. No one has really done swaps with the qg18de but a "popular" one would be the sr20det swap. There is a turbo "kit" for the qg18de however if you're interested. Yes all b15 suspension parts are interchangable with some quirks, like the fsb needs the brackets from the qr25de b15 to fit in the qg18de I believe..... www.b15sentra.net is a good place for b15 info as well.
yea ive seen b15sentra.net it was a cool site...the only thing i didnt like was that it was basically all spec-v cars. finding info on the 1.8 was a rarity compared the the surplus of info on the bigger engine.... =(
what about body kits? ive seen some kits and some CF hoods online for the sentra but they all say 00-02, was the body styel changed slightly so that the 03+ doesnt fit right or what? my main interest is getting a CF hood but like i said, the evo hoods and this other hood i saw said for 00-02 only....

There's more people with 1.8's there than here....
As far as I know, 04 body parts are different than the previous years and nothing is out for the 04 yet, but things are coming.
