It's a simple question: Will a 2003 SE 2.0 liter cold air intake (specifically AEM) work on an 04 1.8s?
I'd like to buy one for my 1.8s but i've mainly been able to find intakes for 03 SE's and SE-Rs.
Thanks for your help. By the Way, i've got $200 to spend and i'm lookin for the cheapest way to increase HP (more bang for the buck). I know it's been asked b4, but here's the twist. Today I was told that it's possible to turbo charge it for under $200. Well any suggestions would be nice (but please, answer the CAI question first).

there's no such thing as an 03 SE, the SE line was discontinued in 01. There is an 03 LE, but it comes with the 2.5 from the SE-R and no the intake from that will not fit the 1.8

200 bucks wouldnt even cover installation of a turbo....and a 2.5L engine is much bigger than a 1.8L so the space is not going to be there to get it to fit.
200 bucks would buy you maybe a third of a turbo itself, not a turbo kit. You wouldnt be able to turbo your car for 2 grand let alone 200. It is kinda an extensive and expensive project. To be honest I'm not even positive their is an actual kit you can buy. Their really isnt all that much out for your car...yet.

No, they guys said something about taking some part from the an SE-R and then something about a turbo and doing it all yourself. Said he got 70+ HP for it.
And about the 03 SE, if it was discontinued, than why does AEM make an 03 SE version: http://www.2kracing.com/product_inf...91b8a6bde2f0ffc
That's a typo, it's supposed to be 00-01 SE, and I don't believe that will fit your car but it might. The Hotshot will fit your car though, that's a much better choice

But Hot Shot, are they any good? I don't wanna buy crap. I'd rather keep my money than buy crap.

It's made specifically for the 1.8 engine, but it's by Hot Shot. Are they any good?
Because the people at 2k racing are dumb and dont list the right info. Turbo for $200 bucks? No way in hell, unless youre buying it from a broke crack fiend who doesnt even know what a turbo is. Whoever told you that is probably a crack head himself. Do some research, an you will gain a lot more knowledge.
And my answer is still do some research. Hot shot makes very good products. If I were you id check out the classifieds on all forums related to your vehicle, people are always getting rid of CAI dirt cheap.
The question has now become: Are hot shot parts any good?
Read the board, Hotshot has been making high quality nissan perfomance parts for longer than you've been driving. They are a great company who supports the nissan comunity and all the engines... think about it, they are the only ones who make a CAI for your car, thats support.
to answer your question, yes they are good, and they are worth the money.

He speaks the truth. Hotshot is a very high quality company who almost anyone on the board and any Nissan Enthusiast will recommend. The other product as mentioned earlier is a typo. It isn't designed for the 1.8 engine you have, it was made for a 2.0 called the SR20, the 00-01 Sentra SE, which was discontinued in 2001. And it would not work for your engine. I say go for the Hotshot. Hotshot has been dyno proven by Hotshot itself and many members on the board here probably have dyno sheets handy.
