I think if any QG automatic that's thinking of going to manual might as well swap to any SR. ie: DET, VE, vet...*good luck finding one...and go SR tranny. I mean obviously this person is swapping to manual for better performance so might as well save them the trouble right? That's what i think atleast...mike your opinion?

or just trade in for a 00/01 SE.

im doing an SR20 swap, with an 01 SE 5speed (auto now)...its not cheap at all...the tranny, used, is cheap...but you really cant get a used clutch master/slave cylinder, pedal, diff brake pedal, your shift assembly, linkages, ....most of that stuff you wont find used (in every car i found in the junkyrd, those pieces were already gone / damaged)....so they have to be bought new (or reman) from the dealer. the swap itself, you'll probably spend about $400ish(minimum) for a 5speed for hte QG, and prob close to another $7-800 for the other parts....then, installation is a pita, and should not be attempted by the non-mechanically inclined (meaning, you've done it before).
like mike said, prob close to a couple thousand with parts and labor.

It isnt worth the money...you are better off selling and buying the same car in manual. It is actually cheaper. If you are just looking for better shifts, maybe using nitrous, and less wheel hop. Level Ten has a great reputation but they are no less expensive.
