04 sentra tach installation help, please

Hi, I'm trying to help my son install an aftermarket tach on a new sentra. It has the 1.8L engine, and I can't even find the coil. (Does it have one?)

I'd appreciate some help on which wires to connect up. It is a four wire tach, two of them are positive, one for "key on" and one for "always hot". Another one goes to negative coil and one to ground. The coil wire may also go to a "tach" connection if there is no coil on the car.

you look under the hood? heh, the 4 things on the valve cover are the coil packs. this car is direct ignition, coil-on-plug. This requires the use of an autometer tach adapter. it can be had from summitracing.com
