I've done a search and found that the SR20 flywheels can be used on the QG18DE but i have 3 questions that id appreciate an answer to:
1) Does this mean the SR20 and QG18 use the same flywheel stock or does the sr20 component just fit ? If theres any differences any details are appreciated.
2) Can the sr20 aftermarket flywheels be used with the standard QG18 clutch ?
3) Is it worth it to get a lightened flywheel on a QG18 with the following mods: I/H/E and maybe cams + chip later ? (before you say cams dont exist theres the possibility of getting some stock ones reground from my understanding)
sr20 component just fits.
2) yes.
3) not really. There's no cams available, and regrinds are crap and a BAD idea! And there's no ECU...definitely no such thing as a chip for nissans. No ECU for a long, long time.

So does anyone know the specs of the standard flywheel (mainly weight), cos i wanna know if id be shedding the same kind of weight an sr20 would at the wheel ?
I have recieved information from both powerchip and unichip about chips for the QG18de taken from my pga post:
Thanks for your e-mail and interest in Unichip.
Though we haven't had the opportunity to tune one ourselves, I do have
wiring information for the N16 and it is no problem to Unichip. Please
contact your closest Unichip agent from the following list for pricing and
further info. http://www.airpowersystems.com.au/unichip/agents.htm

a unichip is a piggyback just like the SAFC. a gentleman in england who purchased a kit from me is using it.
it is not in the true sense a "chip" as there is no real way to attatch a chip to the QG18DE ecu
and I am a member of pulsar.org if you look back
I know your a PGA member but that doesnt necessarily mean you had been on there for a while before my post. Perhaps mike then you could post a bit more in the thread mentioned above about what you know about the emanage/safc/unichip and the function they perform, also which one(s) you would recommend and why.
I know that might be asking a bit but that would also make a great addition to your site
I'll probably get a flywheel at some point in my cars life, does anyone know for sure if the fidenza flywheel, the new version, no longer causes an SES? Jaydogg was going to put one on his car, but he got shipped the wrong one and so he canned that project.
