I just bought a 2002 sentra recently and at one point i hit 90 miles/hr on the highway and noticed a very nasty noise coming from the engine. does anyone have any idea what this noise could be? seems to be coming from right behind the steering wheel, like something vibrating badly.

Also, i took it into the dealership here today for the 'check engine light' and it came up with 'purg volume cont/v' and they said it's nothing serious and they'd have to reprogram the chip but didn't explain to me properly what it was exactly. anyone know?

c'mon guys, somebody's gotta know what that nasty sound is. err...sounds like something grinding really badly above 90miles/hr.

heh, funny If you've ever been on the highway to quebec, you'd realize that at times it is necessary to go above 140km/hr to pass transports. Now, I really don't think it's normal for the engine to be making that noise when I hit 141km/hr. I still need to talk to the dealer about it though :/

haha, i found out it was the stupid bug deflector hitting the hood at higher speeds causing the noise. heh, oops need to tighten it up a little.
