how good is the clutch in the qg motor?

i was thinking about how good the clutch in the qg motor is, well after all isnt it an sr2o clutch? and if so the sr motor is a little more powerful so it should be good enough for the qg right? i was just thinking if its really necessary to upgrade it when only having mild bolt ons. because ive worked the stock clutch a lot and it still feels good, i mean it grabs really good still, if anyone has any opinions or whatever feel free.

i told you get your flywheel lightened....the stock disc is good enough for the way you drive and just get a good press. plate.....you would be happy if you did that...

plus it might not be the clutch that is making your pedal so stiff and shit.... your clutch is a cable clucth i think correct if wrong...so try getting a new clutch cable...

no, he has a hydraulic clutch. No cable. The stock clutch is good up to 160-170whp, so no, you don't need an upgraded clutch. If you want to get a lighter flywheel, any SR20 fwd flywheel will work. Fidanza, UR, etc.

So would you end up getting the SR20 flywheel? Also where is the cheapest clutch for the qg18?

any sr20 fwd clutch will work, so just go find the cheapest one. might as well just get stock man, you don't need anything more with those mods.

I am getting a header and a pulley and my current clutch is catching pretty high. I was thinking of replacing it and when i get the turbo or the camshaft i won't need to buy a new clutch.

does anyone know where to find a cheap clutch? I've been looking around and most are in the area of $300-$400. A mechanic I know got a clutch force racing clutch for $200. Where have you guys bought yours?

if you want a good clutch, you don't want a cheap clutch.
