QG 18 turbos

So are custom turbos the only way to get a turbo onto our cars, or did JWT ever get around to making a turbo for our car? Thanks for the help.

have you never, EVER looked at my website?

www.mdhall.com

there are no turbo 1.8s right now, I was. There will be a turbo QG18 Almera in England fairly soon though, and a gentleman from NH will be getting his kit and installing it within the next few months

I have looked at your website. I know you did a custom job that is why I was asking if anything new came out recently. What about a Garrett turbo for the 2.0. Would that fit?

I was wondering if you guys know whether a turbo affects your insurance in case of accident. I was told that if your insurance company finds out that you will no longer be insured. Please let me know because I want a turbo in my car in May, but if I'm not covered in case of accident I'm not sure I want to go through with it.

Don't tell your insurance company about it. Then, if you get in an accident, you'll just go back to stock. It's a risk you take (about losing the money from turbo and getting back to stock) but you'll be turbo. Most companies don't inspect the car for crap anyways. Hell, the guy that looked at my car thought my intercooler was a radiator (which it is, really) and was cool with everything. (he didn't see the turbo, LOL)

Point well taken. Thanks

There's a turbo kit for the qg?????? WHAT???? j/k

Basically what I've been told about insurance and aftermarket and stereo stuff is that what ever isn't stock on your car won't be covered unless you had the value of your stuff added to the price of your car. As far as adding a turbo and maybe the insurance company feeling that your car belongs in a higher risk bracket.....who knows.
