Is it possible?

I just put an injen CAI on my 1.8 yesterday. First of all putting it on was kind of a hassle. I ended up taking the front bumper off just to get it all on. Anyway, when I got to drive it afterwards 3rd gear seemed to have more power, but it almost feels like I lost power in 1st and 2nd. Is that at all possible for that to happen? Is it possible it might have a leak? Maybe I didn't tighten them tight enough. Any suggestions anyone?

I don't have any direct experience with Injen intakes, but it does sound odd that you lost power. The PR, HS and AEM CAI intakes only increase power.

I noticed this to like it lost some low end torque. My girls XE gets me off the line everytime but around 2800 rpm i'm gone the XE just cant hang. Plus we both have Auto's. I have the HS CAI.
