Hello everyone,
I have a 2003 sentra XE and i was just wondering what the 0 - 60 and 1/4 mile was on it.
also does anyone know of any subtle changes i can do to my car without spending a fortune?
They run high 16's in the 1/4 if a manual (around 9.0 seconds 0-60), and about a full second slower if autos.
hmmmm, i don't think so. I ran high 17's in the 1/4 mile and i have AEM CAI, UR pulley, custom exhaust work, short shifter, 16' velox vx-8r's with falken rubbers and i can't reach 16's and a few other goodies.

Well according to www.car-videos.com the focus zx3 runs an 8.7 and 16.5 and many people at focusfanatics also run 16.5's stock, and with the sentra being about the same in power as the zx3, I would think it would run similar times.

zx3 has 140 or 145hp, so no, it won't run similar times.
Actually the zx3 puts out 130hp @ 5300rpm and 135lb/ft @ 4500 compared to the sentras 126hp @ 6,000rpm and 129lb/ft @ 2,400rpm. I've heard from some people that the sentra is a little more efficient at putting the power to the wheels so these numbers should be about equal at the wheel.
Unless you were talking about this engine
2.3L 4-cylinder PZEV engine - 148-hp@5500, 152-torque@4500 (Standard in CA, MA, NY only)
It must be a new one for 2003/2004, I've never heard of it.
I don't know maybe its the elevation perhaps but in memphis I can get my friends 02 Sentra Xe to run down the quater at 16.5 completely stock with no TACH . I ran several 16's down the track oh and its a manual and she has several time slips to prove it
Does the GXE weigh much more than the XE to give it a slower time? Elevation does make a difference on 1/4 times as well as temperature, humidity, driver etc.
