engine swap or turbo for 2002 Sentra GXE?

I was wondering what the best way to get hp is for a 2002 Sentra GXE, could i swap in a SR20DET engine into it. Or do i have to get a custom turbo made? What can i do, i'm worried that i bought a car with no good hp potential. Or even a RB20 skyline engine?

omg. wow. *edited because I was a jerk*
I'd be nice any other time if there wasn't a thread with the EXACT same words in the title as this one, RIGHT BELOW IT.

don't be stupid.

And after that from chimmike I need say no more, but yeah you bought a car with not a whole lot of potential at this point, I mean dont get me wrong but for the right price your QG can be fast, agian that is for the right price, it is and economy car for a reason.

By the way a warm welcome to the forum and try to search or skim through a few threads before you post, you might just save yourself some time and the headache.

ya for the right price this engine could make some decent horsepower. i was playing with the numbers the other day:

Turbo manifold: $450 est.
Hot Shot modified turbo kit: $3200 est.
Custom internals + R&D time: $2000 + and 3 weeks dn time
Custom made pistons + R&D time: $700 + and 2 weeks dn time

Total: $6500 estimated total

The amount of horsepower in the qg18de after the mods....priceless.

i am a firm believer that after internal work with the turbo kit that this engine could pump out just as any civic hybrid. I fully believe that the QG18DE could bust out 260whp-300whp if it were done correctly.
