I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of engines that have around 160HP would fit under the hood of a sentra gxe because I want an engine with a lil more pop.
1) use the search button
2) if you did, you'd realize you'd spend way more than is worth to do so
3) How much do you plan on spending? For a QR25, you'd need a new tranny, new mounts, ECU, blah blah
4) If you just bought your QG powered sentra.........better save the money and mod the car, or just take the loss and trade up for a faster one.
If you're seriously interested in turbo for the QG, talk to me. I mean, serious, not just "how much does it cost"
I would be seriously intereseted in a turbo, the thing is that I won't have the money to get one until after the summer because that is when i get payed for my internship. If there is any information or help you can give to me it'll be greatly appreciated thanks
alright i estimated spending up to 5 G's, but I am not really all that knowledgable about cars. around how much horsepower did your turbo add to your car?
as a max, I would say the car can safely handle 200whp, correctly modded and tuned..........I'm still tinkering around with mine now..........but it feels like I could run 15s easily.......and I'm still not up to my 7-8psi daily goal.
don't know.............actually, I could care less too. With current settings however, I feel I could pull 15s. I need to do some tweaking still, and I figure at 7-8psi I could do high 14s in the 1/4

As a max Mike? C'mon surely you believe the QG18DE-T can do more than 200whp max don't you? I mean our NPM Project 200SX 1.6 Turbo is pushing over 200whp. 204.2 wheel horsepower at 181.3-ft lbs. @ 11 PSI to be exact. With 200whp you could run 14's all day
But back to the original question, Chimmike is right, unless you want to spend some serious dough, it's just not recommended or worth it. But hey if you got the money and want to do a swap and if you don't want to go turbo you could always drop in a SR20VE motor. That would be fun to have as well.

yah, you're right Keith, I think it can handle over 200....................I'm thinking a MAX of 240whp, all things being equal, ideal conditions, perfect fuel tuning, etc, lol.
I haven't touched the internals yet. That's uncharted territory as far as the QG is known...............................but internals can be made, for $$, lol.
