Engine, Tranny swap....i needs some help

hey guys what's up? nuttin much here. well i am 16 i have a '00 Sentra GXE. it is currently auto....but i was wondering if you guys could help me pick out a good manual transmission. auto sucks....but since my grandpa gave me the car for free i couldn't pass it up... i got 10gs... i wanna 5spd manual, and i was wondering if i could fit a SR20DET... please reply i wanna get rid of the auto and stock engine as fast as possible...thanks if you feel like talkin' to me about this topic please IM me at djdude98 peace out!

yes, the sr20det will fit. go to www.forcedinductionracing.com he sells the sr20det with everything, including 5-speed transmission. the engine you will want will be from the bluebird. and with 10 grand you could definitely do it. oh and please keep me informed on this project of yours, because while mine is already a manual, i want to put that motor in and was wondering about overall costs and such. good luck

meal........you better do your research...............even though yours is a manual, you're gonna need the DET tranny.

Oh, and an ECU, new mounts, new exhaust, suspension, probably axles, etc etc.

hehe.........................well, this should teach you guys next time not to buy a car you're gonna want to swap out the whole engine, tranny, ecu, and other stuff on.
or you can just turbocharge the stocker like I did

yeah i know i'm gonna need the new tranny anyway, i was just saying that my car's slightly different. i would like to turbo what i have, but right now with what's available it seems that i could get more power out of the swap

power can be gotten out of anything. The only limit is money.

if I had 1,000 right now, I could get full internals for the QG and run 300whp or more on it.
