i have the same issue, it seems to be more intermittent now, do i have to change the wiring from the gas padel to the throttle?

i also noticed that the cruise control on my 1.8 could be holding the gas wire when not active. does that make any sense to the experts?

close to the butterfly valve where the gas wire attaches i do see some breakage around the wire covering. perhaps its just rust or something causing the wire to resist when i press on it
