Intermittent Instruments.

I have a 2004 1.8S Sentra. 50,000 miles. The instruments are intermittently what appears to be loosing power(tach.speedo, odometer, fuel and temp) or signals. I checked the fuses and also performed a diagnostic check on the instrument cluster, no faults. I think it maybe heat related as it tends to happen more when air temperatuer is up.
I did note in the service manual that the cluster is combined with a power module. A new cluster is about $147.00. I beleive the chassis ground is ok as no other system is faulting.
Has anyone seen this or heard of this problem?
Thanks Martin Picke

Before you do anything I would suggest you remove it and check all the plugs, maybe use a contact cleaner, about $10 from an electronics store.
This is a bit new for the contact problems seen on the B14, but worth trying before you buy another cluster assembly.
