i am working on a 2001 sentra it is flashing 304 code so i ran a compression test it was ok i swapped #2 and #4 coil packs and plugs cleared the code and started it and flashed the same code and i swapped the injectors around and cleared it got the same code again i took a long screwdriver and listened to the injectors and the #4 injector is not clicking like the rest of them but keep in mind i swapped them and got the same code i checked the wire with a ohms meter from the ecu to the #4 injector and it tested ok i think it is the ecu but everyone that i talk to says no they dont go bad and it cost $450 for a new one and i wanna make sure that is whats wrong before i buy it any other test i could run to test it before i buy one any help would be app ty evans

well there has been a recall on the ecu's and you should take it in to get re-programmed or something. check out b15sentra.net theres a toll free number and you give them your vin and they will tell you if its bad or not. you could also take and ecu from another sentra just to test if its the problem or pick one up at a pick a part.

that won't work if he has the immobilizer on his car, it won't start with another ecu without being programmed first
