I am getting a P0171 sestem too lean message when doing a reading on the car. The mechanic could not figure out how to fix.
It runs really rough and hesitates to accelerate when cold and now has started to lose power at higher speeds.
It has also started to shift funny but I think it may be due to the lost power from the engine.
Mechanic has told me to take it to a dealer to figure it out.
Car has 175,000 km on it and is a 2001 GXE.
Id say check your injectors. first thing i would do is use a test light at the injector harness to make sure your getting voltage at the injectors, if all four are getting power, then id take out the rail and injectors to inspect them, or you could check and see if your fuel system has proper pressure. maybe your pump is weak. sorry but at that many miles it could be alot of stuff. good luck
Sorry willy I should have caught that, that was the same exact fault I had a long time ago.
Same problem too. Freakin sensors, too bad theyre not like old cars before the damn emissions crap.
I'm having the same problem . I got the same error code .Replaced the MAF sensor. But the car still has no power. and to top it off it won't idel correctly any more. It stalled on me twice this morning. but starts right back up. Anybody hve any ideas?
