well i got an OBX header and after instalation there is about a 12" gap between the new downpipe and the back half of the exhaust system! i was thinking about purchasing another catalytic converter to fill the gap, will this be ok?
im not having o2 problems ive already taken care of that
is the header a 4-2-1 style? if so, it should fit to the second cat eliminating the first one. If its the other way around it would be the best route to find a cat converter with full piping bolt on, otherwise a weld a 2.5" pipe from the cat to a flange that would connect to the header flange.

yea its the 4-2-1 i found a cat that matches the flanges but its for a 90-94 and its ment for the 2.0 and 1.6 the pipe diameter is the same but will this cat mess hit up because its meant for a diffrent engine?
nah, as long as it fits snuggly and if there are any O2 sensors in there to be used, use it. If not, go to a local auto parts store and find a "O2 bung" to plug it up.

Well! i just spent the last 4 hours installing the headers and i have to say they suck so fucking much, the 02 sim did work though i didnt get a check engine light, but my car now sounds like a stupid fucking ricey civic has some sort of burning smell coming from the engine compartment and my gas milege droped to abou 17 mpg!!!!! fucking horrible, im taking it off first thing tomorrow morning and throwing it in the trash where is belongs!!!!!
lol im sorry to hear that, im not having the same problems you are...until you replace the exhaust system or at least the muffler any header upgrade is going to sound like that, mine does too...the stock muffler isnt meant for performance and it sounds like garbage. the burning smell will go away its oil burning off of the headers/the smell of your welds. if it continues you may have a leak and should get a compression test done to check. as far as the mpg part make sure #1 that the o2 sensor is plugged into the correct location on the headers...aside from that of course headers are going to drop your mpg, more frequently than not more power = less mpg. it will happen with the hotshot headers as well.
did you buy obx headers? hows that going? i was going to buy that, but my buddy told me obx sucks dont buy it .....it seems didnt work very well for your car i will think more about it lol
