No CAI for the 2005 QG18de (don't include hot$hot)

So apparently, there are fitment issues going on with my CAI that I have through hotshot and I'll be reporting them to the BBB because I've written numerous emails to them about it not fitting properly and to get a correct fitment for the car. While thats going on in the back burner is there another company that specifically makes a CAI designed for the 2005 qg18de model?

I read the post there from the guy that is selling the products and he says that Fujita does not sell one for the 2005 model qg18de. There is one for the 2006 and its not gonna fit the 2005 because the MAF adapter pattern is different. I think we should get some people together that has the qg18de 2005 and have a company with a great reputation and great customer service design one for us. So I guess pretty much CAI has been extinct for the 2005 qg18de, and might have to go to the short ram that Weapon R makes unless another company comes out with a CAI for the 2005 model.

honestly the cold air intake does not really give you much more than the short ram. sorry about that, i didn't honestly read the thread, lol. but if it's only the maf adaptor, i don't see why you couldn't drill out the holes to make it fit.

I finally got the thing to fit finally....i finally got my new exhaust system through midas. I had them hook up my aftermarket header from auto grimmig....and they attached a muffler on. More info on this later....

for the short ram style you can always get a heat shield from INJEN if you wanna save a couple of degrees, but it wont help out too much. You could always get a cold air for the se 2.0 and not the se-r cold air and redrill 1 hole to make it fit the MAF. Ive seen that trick done and no problems occurred.
