anything is possible with money
but what a waste of money and time. if you do decide that this is what you want to do, you're going to need plenty more than just the engine. by that time, you might as well just get a spec instead, lol

the QR20de is a great motor or if you like old school SR20de, yeah, good motor swap, but tranny from 1.8 will not meet up without a lot of fabrication. Best advice, if you want power, do a full Spec swap and thats a great sleeper starter. Or if you can afford it, go with a VQ35de (nissan maxima 00-03) best motor but few reported problems.

ive hear horror stories of doing a vq swap, mostly partaining to the engine being too heavy and causing suspension problems...im thinking about an sr20det swap for myself though
Just curious is it possible to swap out an automatic GXE engine for an engine from an SER?
it would be significantly cheaper to sell your car and buy a spec V. Maybe the motor is cheap but its all the extras, the hassles, the little random things (plus labour) that all adds up.
The only reason you would do a swap is if you had an expensive paintjob and widebody kit - stuff that cant be moved to a new car.
