Service Engine Light Came on

This past Fri I was driving home from work and I looked down and saw that the Service Engine Soon Light came on on my dashboard...I went and got it checked and the P0128 Code came up now my first question is that if this is something I can just fix myself and will it be expensive or should I just leave it to my mechanic to fix it??? and what do I need to get if I can fix it myself....

did you look up what the code meant? it means P0128 - Coolant Temperature Below Required. you might need to replace your thermostat, or you might need to replace your engine coolant temp sensor. i have had to replace mine. try replacing the thermostat first.

follow the big hose from the radiator towards your block the thermostat is located at the end on the block side . it will look like a triangle connection at the block with 3 blots holding it into the block. you'll have to remove the hose at the bolts in order to get the thermostat out---make sure when replacing it you put it in the right way ---pay attention to how you remove the old one.

yes the thermostat is a fun part to change out, make sure you drain your coolant first or youll get a green surprise with a lot of swearing.
