So I took my car to nissan and they said

that the cold air intake that I have (hotshot) is too short and is creating air losseration and that I should purchase the NISMO Cold Air intake. IS this an upsell that they are trying to do or what? And secondly I SWORE that the NISMO CAI did not fit on the qg.

The Nismo CAI does not fit, unless you make some modifications. Personally, that's more work than necessary. Stick with your HotShot. They're just trying to upsell you. IMO, Hotshot makes a very nice intake for the QG.

I think I need to go to pepboys to get some more couplers, it keeps on slipping off. That's part of the reason why my car kept on cutting off. The mechanic said my car is running too lean.
