Hello everyone, I am new to this board and glad to be in it. I have a 00 sentra gxe 1.8 and have a problem. I recently had purchased this vehicle and ran across the EGR valve was bad, so I bought a new one and was told by a Tech Advisor from Nissan that its location is under the intake manifold on the driver side. I have been looking all around and can not find the EGR valve. Can you please help me out?

Also, I have been fixing up cars for a while and had a 1996 Nissan 200SX SE-R with a lot of mods and have some familiarization with that perticular model and engine. I used to own a 03 MazdaSpeed Protege with over 12k invested in the motor (e.g. Front mount intercooler, 3" turboback exhaust, Mental Addiction rebuilt bottom end, and pushing over 18 psi peak boost) I want to get this sentra into a somewhat performance car and I know that the only way to get the best performance is to find a Spec-V engine and swap it, then turbo it, but thats just a dream for me right now, haha. Thanks guys for any information to my problem.

If you actually plan on doing that, swap with a VQ35 instead of QG25. You'l have to get a 6speed tranny also but it's damn worth it if you want "performance" from your Sentra.
