I have an 06 sentra and when i back up...turn...and step on my brakes lightly it makes a wierd noise like a grinding noise. What could that be?

rocks? maybe some rocks, or sand have gotten caught under your pad, and are rubbing the discs. I got dirt and clay under my pads, after going down a dirt road, to see a friend compete in a horse show.
