my 2005 1.8L Dirt Bike

ok, I can't handle this car's sound any longer. If you rev it up, or get on it at all (not that a 1.8L has alot of power anyway) it sounds like a nice two stroke 125cc dirt bike . What kind of exhaust can I get to make it sound better? please keep in mind that I don't want it to sound like an airplane either. I hate that sound. Just like a car that has a little more juice. Please keep in mind also that I am a college student, so cheap=good. thanks for all the help that I know I will recieve.

HKS Sport catback. Search for the one that fits the 00-01 SE 2.0 Sentras. They fit perfectly, and sound GREAT! Had one on my Sentra, before I traded it for my Z.

cool man thanks alot. I have been lusting after a Z. The hard top in Black. (drooling). That 300hp will be quite a step up from my 126 in my sentra. but its gotta wait till after college. this isn't gonna make it sound like an airplane is it?

It is a big step up. But it will be so worth it. believe me.

Yup, that's the one... It's got a nice tone to it. Doesn't get high-pitched, and raspy at all. Really not as loud as the fart-cans on Civics and stuff that these lamo's around here put on. At idle, it's down to stock noise level, with a light pur. Opened up, sounds more like you've got a V6 under the hood.

actually i said this in a previous thread. but this isn't ALWAYS the case. i do have 2 friends with gxe's. it fit perfect on one and not on the other., build date was 5 months away. won't be a big deal if it doesn't fit, it's something small any exhaust shop can do

thanks for the correction. never heard of it fitting on one, but not another. I'll be more careful when I say something will fit...

yeah it will fit all the 1.8's, but you might have to have a tiny bit of welding done to it. but really, no exhaust is specifically made for your car, so if you don't get the hks you'll have to get a custom one. getting it done right (mandrel bent) will be a lot more expensive than the hks

Wouldn't putting an exhaust and an intake void out the warranty? Just thought i might ask.

it won't void the warranty unless the part you put on made something break. they can't deny you your warranty just because you have mods

since i am mostly shooting for sound and low cost, wouldn't a new muffler take care of my dirt bike sound?
