Problem with idle
Hello everybody.
Got a little problem, maybe someone can help steer me in the right direction.
Background: Just installed a dual-filament bi-xenon HID kit for my 1.8S. Disconnected the battery, removed it from the car, installed the kit, ran the wiring harness, mounted the ballasts, etc. Lights are working fine. Now to the problem.
When the engine is cold, I start it, and it runs fine. Starts up, no problem, lowers itself to 750, idle speed, and sits there nicely, as usual.
After being driven, and the engine is at normal operating temperature, if I start it, it lowers idle to 100 and dies, or it will lower to 100, struggle to stay on, then go up to about 1100, and lower to idle, and run fine.
Also, idle speed, when in Neutral, and all accessories are off is 750, but in Drive, again with everything off, it's about 500-600. Used to be at 750 regardless.
What is causing this? I know what you're thinking, No, it's NOT the HID kit. I've removed it, and the car does the same thing. I've also checked to see if I had knocked out any hoses, grounds, etc, and everything that I can see is still undisturbed. Any ideas? I can't seem to find anything that is causing this.
Thanks for the help.
