'06 Nissan Sentra 1.8s S.E. (spare tire question)

I have what appears to be a common problem with the tires that come stock some of the ' 06 Nissan's,Firestone Firehawk GTA2). The problem being that it got a cut in the sidewall. I spoke to a guy who works as a mechanic for Nissan and he said that the spare should be a full size matching tire. Is this true, and the reason I am just swapping them is I have about a 1k mile trip to go on this weekend, and don't really have the extra money to get a new tire, at $150. So, does anyone know if this is a fullsize, or a good 'ol cheap donught?

You got the cheap ol weenie tire that is the stock spare, not good for long trips or over 50mph.

If your going 1000 miles and cant afford a $150 tire "For your own saftey" then you can't afford the fuel for the trip.

lol, like no1 said, you've got a donut. Personally, I got rid of my stock tires, and went with Yokohama Avid T4's. Were about $90 each, from the dealership.

Ours has the donut too and you have to take it out and flip it over the check the tire pressure--ours was actually kinda low from the factory.

Btw, will a 205/55/16 fit on an '06 1.8s SE without any rubbing or other issues? There aren't a whole lot of choices in the OEM 195/55/16 size.

I'm also not a big fan of the OEM firehawks. They're really loud on some road surfaces.
