The track near me is closed for the rest of the winter, I was wondering what a stock 2002 gxe 5-speed should run in a quarter mile. and yes this is assuming that the person knows how to drive it. what kind of difference would the hotshot intake and header combo have on the 1/4 mile time?

I have full bolt ons, but I also had a full trunk and ran a Gtech run on what appeared to be uphill. I couldn't get any traction as it was below the good temps to run...basically in the low 40s.......and I got a 16.6 I just couldn't hook up.......damn cold was too cold for the tires. Also....that's the first time I've ever attempted it.
but with my new project, you can be sure I'll get in the 14's
well my goal is to run 16s stock so it sounds pretty doable. how much time does the bolt ons actually shave off of the 1/4 time? are they worth the money?

yes, 17.8 is weak. i don't redline my engine, i had crappy launches (1st time at the track) and I have 24 lb (rims only) wheels. thus, shifting at 5500 rpm with all that crap prob resulted in those crappy times.
I had a ford ranger that would run 16.7. With my friend driving the ford I can keep a full legnth from 40mph to 80. Home brew ram air/ cold air intake and se muffler and shiting at the red for better shifts. 2000 gxe auto.
