need new head gasket on 06 1.8s with 14k miles

just hit 14k miles on it, performed a clean break in period and didn't go over 4k rpm for the first 1200 miles and don't shift over 3k rpm and went to get my oil changed and opened the hood before i did this and noticed that there was oil on the cylinder head. dealership told me that i need a new one and its covered under warranty. They also said that it has 1 quart over what the line should be at. tell me what you think. they gave me a rental until they fix it.

Where they said one quart over the limit line doesn't make sense to me. Based on how you've driven the car, i wouldn't think you would make any injury on the transmission. It sounds like the head has been cracked. Well, I guess you did the right thing by noticing your dealer to fix the problem.

If you took it to one of those quickie oil change places they may have put too much in. Hell one time I took in my old 89 nissan sentra in to get an oil change. and they PUT NO FREAKING OIL IN IT AT ALL! Good thing I noticed before I left the oil change place. It could of been wrecked.
