1.8 GXE INTAKE HELP!!!!

Hey, i went on to 2kracing.com and ordered the hotshot CAI for my car 4 days ago. My order said pending for the past four days so I called up 2k and asked them what the deal was. They told me it would likely be a month or more before I would get it because HotShot hasnt been responding to their calls or sending them their products. So now i need some help. Are there any other GOOD CAI's that will fit on my engine, or is there any faster way for me to get the HotShot CAI? help please :[

yea i checked with hotshots about ordering an intake from them and they told me they discontinued their hole intake line so wtf i guess we will have to use a weapon r, possibly find a place racing or just make the spec v nismo one work

You can get them from Ebay. Look for the seller named bmw325racing. That's where I got mine from. He buys direct from Weapon R and they ship direct to you. Got mine in 2 days.

is this a short ram that stops by the battery or does it go down thru the hole where the stock intake was like the HotShot one does?

hmm well now im seeing that ebay says that seller doesnt exist anymore. awesome...in 3 days when im trying to decide the dudes HUGE inventory of 100+ products just disappears....fantastic

edit: ebay was having problems, i found it again, i went ahead and purchased it because i hear its pretty good

I've had it for almost 2 years, and have had NO problems with it. Absolutely loving it. I'd say it was worth the money. Gains are not anything to get overly excited about, but they're there.

dont get weapon r that ebay junk wont fit your cars. Hot shot didnt discontinue their intake line they just have a hard time keeping up with the demands.

its not ebay junk weapon-r is a respectable performance part company that actually retails their products from their own website. there is a guy on ebay that buys in bulk from weapon-r and resells their products cheaper than youd get them for on the site. and dmr, what cold air box did you get because on the w-r site i dont see one for the 1.8gxe

I got it from the same guy I got the short-ram from, on ebay, bmw325racing. I've sent him an email to ask for the part number, and I'll post it once I get a reply. I've got some pics posted with the intake and cold air box installed.

yo dmr you said this dude shipped to you fast? i bought and paid for mine saturday (its now the following saturday) and ive received no tracking info, no email response, nothing. this guy is a douchebag

Wow, that sucks. Sorry to hear that. Yeah, when I ordered mine, I got it 2 days later. I ordered the Weapon R Cold Air Box from him too, and that took a week, but I didn't really think anything of it. Wonder what's going on... Never had any problems before, and he was actually recommended to me by a friend who bought several things from him.
