Hi all. This is my first post in @ nissanforums.com.I have a Nissan car that comes with the QG15DE.I know some of you guys might not of heard about this engine at all.You guys would be used to the QG18.Basically it's just about the same engine I think except the stroke *I think* is longer on the 18..or something of that sort...either the bore or the stroke. What I want to know is what kind of N/A mods can I perform on this little engine?I was think of P&P and a larger throttle body (if possible>from what engine?QR25??) to start with.Would the QG18 headers(or turbo manifold in future) fit? Also, is the manual/auto transmissions for both engines the same?Could the QG18 manual/auto trans fit on the QG15? Where can I get manual tranny aftermarket mods (clutch, flywheel etc.)?Are shortshifters for the 18/15 available?Maybe the little guy would be turboed in the future.....would the GT28R that's recommened for the QG18 be overkill?
Welcome matey!!! The basics ave to covered first (i.e. CAI, Exhaust, Suspension)
then work your way up from there, progressing onto more serious equipment like Flywheel/Clutch combos, Strut Brace, Headers and maybe, one day, Forced Induction...
i have a qg15 engine as well. i'd like to change the spark plugs and wish to use the nissan brand plugs. does nissan make one type of plug or many types of plugs? which plug would be best for the QG15 engine?

I think you should try Denso Iridium Power IK16. Im using them in my engine and I am pretty satisfied.
this is the nissan sunny FB15 model from the japanese domestic market. the plugs in the car : NGK - LFR5A-11
This type plug is in the hot range i understand. being in a tropical country would a mid range temp plug LFR6A-11 be wise to use?

Since it's a "colder type" of spark plug, it dissipates heat more quickly and should be appropriate for your climate.
