Modifications for QG18DE

Hey Everyone,

Thought I'd try to list all of the modifications that are currently available for our engine/transmission.

- intake: hs, aem, place racing, etc.

- header: hs

- pulley: unorthodox racing

- timing advance:

- short shifter: pacesetter, b&m

- clutch kit: unorthodox racing

- flywheel: stillen

- exhaust & piping: vrs, stromung, etc.

Am I missing anything else performance wise?

ehh, exhausts are negligible, really, but there's stromung, HKS, VRS.

Tho I'd like to add here........unless you're going FI or nitrous, don't go any higher than 2" diameter exhaust

torque converters are only for automatics, and thus far there is not bolt on turbo kits for our engines.

AEM makes a cold air intake for the QG18DE?? If so tell me and where can you get Hotshot's cold air intake? Thanks

AEM makes an intake for the 2.0, but with some handywork it can fit the QG18.
As for the HS, you can order directly from them at www.hotshot.com or you can try to get in on the GB over at b15.

What do you mean by handy work? I like AEM because they have colors and all those type of little things and i f i could get AEM I would over Hotshot. Well, do you think it is worth it to get an AEM CAI for the 2.0 and fit it to my 1.8 or Just go with Hotshot's?

Thanks

Anthony

You have to drill so the holes line up or something, I'm not entirely sure of the process since I don't have an AEM. Just to throw it out there Place Racing, Megan Racing (i think megan does) makes CAI's for us too. They have different colors if that's what ur looking for.
